What do you do when large scale disruptions interrupt the rhythm of routine?

When disruption disorients us and change feels out of reach, this contribution to OCAD U Zine Collective’s 2020 – 2021 zine anthology, Quaranzine, reminds you that there are many opportunities and ways to establish new roots and foundations.

😷 OCAD U Zine Collective’s 2020 – 2021 zine anthology, Quaranzine was digitally available online and mailed out for free to anyone with a Canadian address by request. Organized by Beige Blum and supported by the OCAD U Student Union Project Grant.

Digitally drawn, printed in 2-colour risograph by Vide Press. Limited edition, March 2021.

📣 Original zine prompt:

Collaborative, relatable and uplifting zine surrounding the topic of COVID19. Students will be able to explore and express their experiences of the pandemic and its impact on their lives. The zine will have a positive focus, where students are encouraged to discuss topics that look to the brighter side of the pandemic (i.e. how they’ve partaken in self-care during this time, how communities have come together, new hobbies they’ve had time to take up, etc.)
Meditating on how we can invite open interpretations of disruption to our lives and choose to live a personal narrative that’s resilient and ripe for transformation.
