What does it feel like when you’re burnt out?

Burn is a visual reflection of how numb you become when wage-labour burnout captures you in an artificial world of pressure and stress, estranging you from the passage of time and season change ❄️🌱🌷 until the natural world is what begins to feels jarring and out of place.

Burn is a continuous comic strip bound in a circular format, made to be viewable in variable one to two-spread formats, with a connected and cohesive interior and exterior.

Originally made in 2023 drawn with pencil crayon on paper, zines were later reproduced via inkjet colour copies, measuring approximately 6″ x 7″.

Burn debuted at Canzine (RIP) October 2023, where distributed copies featured hand-coloured pencil crayon elements.
